Western Grebe

Description: Western Grebe is common throughout the state, except in winter, and can be abundant during the fall. Clark's Grebe is progressively more common from the San Luis Valley and Pueblo to the south and east, the ratio of Clark's to Western ranging from about 1 in 100 in the metro area to 1 in 2 in southeast Colorado.
