Western Bluebird

Description: An uncommon to locally common breeder, mostly in ponderosa and/or scrub-oak habitats. Most common in the southwestern part of the state, but also common southeast of Denver in parts of Douglas and Elbert counties. Uses PJ in some areas, especially during the winter. Occurs in low numbers in flocks of Mountain Bluebirds on the Front Range and adjacent plains during migration.
