Upland Sandpiper

Description: An uncommon to rare breeder on prairies in the northeastern quadrant of the state, much more common in the extreme northeast, but regular in a few places in Weld County. Best found in early morning in early summer, when birds are likely to be calling from fenceposts; otherwise they are often invisible.
