Sharp-tailed Grouse

Description: An uncommon resident, principally in Routt and Moffat counties in the northwest corner of the state. The best-known lek is along Twenty Mile Road south of Hayden. Driving county roads south of Hayden gives you at least decent odds of seeing this bird outside the lekking season, but there are no guarantees.
