Red-naped Sapsucker

Description: A common summer resident in many montane habitats.. Most common in places with extensive aspen groves, but can also be found in mid-elevation riparian, in willow carrs, and various types of mixed forests. An uncommon migrant on the eastern plains, more regular during the fall; could occur at any migrant trap.
