Long-eared Owl

Description: A locally fairly common winter resident, especially in juniper shelterbelts on the eastern plains; local and uncommon breeder in various habitats throughout. Though not endangered, these birds are sensitive to disturbance, and local birders are often reluctant to reveal their location.
