Lapland Longspur
Description: An uncommon to occasionally abundant winter resident in eastern Colorado, generally most common in the northeast. The best way to find this species is to find a flock of Horned Larks and listen for the distinctive rattles and "tee-yoo" calls of Lapland Longspurs. Most large flocks of larks in northeast Colorado during the winter will have at least a few longspurs in them.
