Indigo Bunting

Description: An uncommon and local breeder in eastern Colorado. Across most of its range in the state, this species hybridizes with Lazuli Bunting, and pure birds are difficult to find in many areas. It is a rare breeder in the lowlands of the west, where it is very local.
