Eastern Towhee

Description: The status of this species in Colorado is debated, and many reports probably pertain to hybrids instead of pure birds. Most regularly seen at Tamarack Ranch SWA, but many of these sightings have proven to be hybrids. Pure birds are casual to accidental in the state in winter.
