Chestnut-collared Longspur
Description: A much less common and more restricted summer resident than McCown's Longspur, preferring habitat with taller grass. Easiest to find on the Pawnee National Grasslands in northeast Colorado, but also possible at a couple of widely scattered breeding locations on the eastern plains. An uncommon migrant on the eastern plains. Winters in extreme southeast Colorado, where it is usually the least common of the three regular longspurs.
