Black-headed Grosbeak

Description: A fairly common breeder in the foothills in riparian habitat, ponderosa woodland, oak woodland, and PJ. Less common at higher elevations. An uncommon migrant on the eastern plains, where it can often be confused with Rose-breasted Grosbeak, an uncommon to rare migrant in the state.
