Barrow's Goldeneye

Description: An uncommon and local winter resident on open water in the mountains west of the Continental Divide; rare but regular in winter along the Front Range and in western valleys. Extremely local breeder in the Flattops Wilderness. Most reliable location near Denver is the Blue River Treatment Plant in Silverthorne.
