Barn Owl

Description: An uncommon breeder in woodlots, rimrock cliffs and abandoned buildings on the eastern plains, and at a few widely scattered locations on the western slope. This species is often stumbled upon while birding southeast Colorado migrant traps during the spring. A very rare winter resident, most often found roosting in large hedgerows, and most regular in the Bonny Reservoir area.
